Early Times Report

Jammu , Feb 2 : Ravinder Sharma (MLC) General Secretary and spokesperson has urged the government to consider grant of administrative unit like CD Block, tehsil status to Devak area of tehsil Sunderbani in District Rajouri, while hailing creation of new administrative units in Nowshera-Sunderbani Constituency.
According to a statement issued media, while welcoming the creation of new units based on report of CSC which has accepted most of the genuine demands of the Nowshera-Sunderbani area like Sub. District for Sunderbani, Tehsils at Beripattan, Siot, Qila Darhal and Laroka, CD Blocks for Siot, Seri, Qila Darhal, Lamberi and Niabats at Prat, Kangri, Dandesar, Bhawani and Lamberi, Sharma said that injustice has been meted out to Devak area of tehsil Sunderbani which deserved a CD Block considering all parameters of its distance for tehsil HQ, topography, terrain, population and backwardness.
"It is a mistake to ignore the area. Although CSC has done commendable job in view of the fact that Ganie Committee had suggested only one Niabat in Nowshera Constituency," he said and added that it was strongly recommended by him (Ravinder Sharma) separately and also by all party delegation before CSC in Rajouri on January 09, 2014 .
"Prior to this, it was jointly put to Billoria Committee at Dak Banglow Sunderbani during its visit, by an all party delegation represented by him and all political and social groups, as a first and foremost demand."
Meanwhile, Sharma on Sunday met the Chairman Co-ordination Committee and President JKPCC Prof. Saifuddin Soz (MP) at Jammu and apprised him the resentment and unrest in the area and urged for his intervention in the matter. He also submitted a memorandum to Prof. Soz and also sent the same to the Chief Minister and all members of the CSC for justice to the area.
