| Academy announces annual drama festival results | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 2: J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages today announced the results of annual drama festival held here recently at Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu wherein twelve plays in different languages were staged. The Jury has recommended the various awards to the Groups and in individual categories.
According to press release, the play X- Reflection by Natraj Natya Kunj was adjudged the best production while the play Graed by Bhoorang Foundation has been adjuged as 2nd best production. Abhishek Bharti awarded as Best Director for the play X- Reflection.
Makhan Lal Saraf and Kusam Tickoo awarded as best Actor and best actress respectively for the Kashmiri play "Graed."Best Set has been awarded to Manoranjan Kala Kendra for the play Prindey hoon Jan ge Kithey while best lights awarded to Amateure Theatre Group' Junaid Kak for the play Ek aur Durghtana . Best Costumes awarded to Pooja Datta of Natshalla forthe play Bichoowhile Best Music to Sardar Amarjeet Singh of Boorang Foundation for the play Graed.
Divakashi has been awarded as best child artist for the play Lahore di chithi Ambarsar de Na of Yamni cultural Society. Manoj Damir Has been awarded as Best make-up Man for the play X-Reflection of Natraj Natya Kunj.
Sunil Sharma of Amateure Theatre and Kanika sharma of Samooh Theatre have been awarded as 2nd Best actor and 2ndBest actress respectively for the play Ek Aur Durghtana and Malika Da Khas Salahkar.
In consolation category Bimla Naqaib has been awarded for the make up of the play Faraz while Vijay Goswami and Pooja Sharma have been awarded in direction and costumes respectively for the play Julius Caesar. Suriender Manhas has been awarded in music for the play X- Reflection.
The merit certifactes in acting have been awarded to Ravinder Sharma of Samooh Theatre for the play Malika Da Khas SlahKar, Rakesh Tickoo and Vishal Hanjura of NatyaKarmi for the play Gadd Bateh , Rahul Kumar and Arvin Tickoo of Natshalla for the play Bichoo, Pt. Makhan Lal Shastri ,Dr. Rajinder Thapa, Mousmi of Manoranjan Kala Kendra for the play Prindey Jaan Hoon Kithey. Balwinder, Rohitashiv and Anmol Bakaya of the Performer Group for the play Julius Ceasar, Meenal Peer and Bimla Naqaib of Naqaib Rangmanch for the play Faraz, Shadi Koul of Bhoorang for the play Graed. Aayan Ali of Amateure Theatre Group for the play Ek Aur Durghtna, Akshya Razdaan and Priyanka Thakur of Natraj Nataya Kunj for the play X- Reflection. Prof. Rita Jitendra Former secretary of Cultural Academy, Arvind Anand and Vikram Sharma were the jury members. |
