Rural police today seized 5 trucks of illegal wood and arrested five persons for trying to smuggle wood clandestinely.
According to reports, police acting on a tip off that some persons were trying to smuggle wood, swung into action and seized five trucks of forest wood at Akhnoor.
A naka was laid by the police under the directions of SP, Rural Shakti Pathak and trucks were intercepted at Akhnoor and five persons along with trucks were arrested.
