| Grenade attack at Khudwani, militant arrested | | | Srinagar, Mar 30
Unidentified gunmen believed to be the militants lobbed a Hand Grenade at CRPF Road Opening Party, when they were returning, after finishing the ROP duties at Khudwani, area of Anantnag district, while police claimed to have arrested a JeM militant from Sopore area of Baramulla, here today.
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that some unidentified gunmen believed to be the militants attack on a CRPF party diploid for ROP duties at Khudwani area of Anantnag on Srinagar –Jammu National Highway.
Sources said that they lobbed a hand grenade towards the CRPF Personal which exploded without causing any major damage. However, a constable of J&K Police suffered minor injuries in the hand, in this attack.
Police has registered a FIR in this regard and a manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits
Meanwhile, police claimed to have arrested one JeM militant namely Selah-ud-Din Wani alias Abu Manaj son of Gh. Mohiudin Wani resident of Chinar Baramulla
Two hand grenades recovered from his possession. The militant has remained active in militant activities in Lolab area of Kupwara district and Rajwar area. His arm had got injured in August 2006 while planting an IED in Lolab area.
