| Law school organizes debate contest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | MAR 30 The Law School of Jammu University today organized the Inter University Justice Bodh Raj Sawhney Memorial debating contest held today. Teams from various national law schools participated in the contest. The Jury comprised Advocate Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Prof. V.P. Magotra, and Prof. K.S. Rajdar adjudged the contest. The debate contest was on the topic ‘In the opinion of the house, the present lection system in India, truly determines the real representatives of people.’ Prof. V.K. Kapoor Director Law School delivered the welcome address. Pariksha Paramar carried out the proceeding of the debate. Mangat Ram Sharma was the Chief guest on the occasion. Prof. B.P. Sehgal, Dean Academic Affairs University of Jammu, Satti Sawhney, Prominent Photo Journalist and Dr. S.K. Sharma Dean Faculty of law, was also resented on the occasion. Jyotika Sethi of law school and Ayushi Sehgal- Guru Gobind Singh University bagged the first prize. Rosy Sharma of Law School and Sureskha Bhatt- of Dogra Law College won the second prize. While Alisha Kohli of K.C. Law College bagged the third prize. The consolation prizes were given to Deepika Singh Guru Gobind Singh University, Sohail Rajat Aligarh Muslim University. Law School bagged the over all trophy. Dr. Mrinalini Atrey presented vote of thanks.
