| Two day Dogri Seminar concludes at JU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | MAR 30 The two-day National Seminar on Contemporary Dogri Drama-new perspective concluded today at Jammu University. The seminar was organized by the Dogri department and Dean Acadmic affairs BPS Sehgal presided over the the valedictory function held today, In his presidential address, Prof. B.P.S. Sehgal congratulated the Department for organizing such a seminar in a very impressive way. Archna Kesar, HOD Dogri department gave the welcome address to Dr. Shiv Dev Manhas, who organized the seminar. N.D. Jamwal was the chief guest on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion N.D. Jamwal appreciated the Dogri department for organizing such even. Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, secretary J&K cultural Academy of art and languages was also presented on this occasion. Two paper-reading sessions were held. In the first session were three papers read by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Sh. N.D. Jamwal and Dr. Gurnam Kaur Bedi from Amritsar. The session was presided over by Prof. H.S. Bedi, Head, P.G. Department of Hindi and Dean Arts Faculty, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and renowned Dogri Play Wright and hero of Dogri Film Gallan Hoiyan Beetian Jitender Sharma. In the second session, three papers read by Mohan Singh, Anjali Sharma and J.S. Pardesi. The session was presided over by Dr. Pyoosh Guleri and Dr. Pratyoosh Guleri from Dharamshala (H.P.). In all two papers on Stage Plays, Two on Radio Plays, One on Dogri folk play and one or comparative study of Dogri and Punjabi plays were read in the seminar. Prof. Veena Gupta presented the vote of thanks.
