| Army organizes Eye Screening, Medical Camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER POONCH | MAR 3 10 Infantry Brigade as part of OP SADHAVANA has taken giant strides towards improving the condition of the local populace and the region ad a whole. With caring hearts and benevolent minds, soldiers of 10 Infantry Brigade have made untiring efforts in not only bringing normalcy to the region but also charting new course of development. Continuing with the efforts to emancipate the local populace, an eye screening camp was organized under the aegis of 10 Infantry Brigade at village Jhallas in Haveli Tehsil, of Poonch District. Brigadier Gurdeep Singh urged the eye specialist Dr. Anil Bhalla of District Hospital to attend to the patients with eye problems whose treatment and surgery will subsequently be undertaken by the Army. This eye camp organized by 10 Infantry Brigade in collaboration with Pritam Trust has drawn patients from far flung areas from Villages Ghani, Salotri, Balnoi, Darati, Chandak, Mandi, Chhindra, Kanuiyan, Dara Dullian, Acchad, Mankote and Jhallas, which otherwise are deprived of Medical facilities. Seizing this opportunity the Army provided the services of three army doctors and also a lady medical officer so that the large crowd can benefit from their medical expertise. The Army also distributed free medicine and as a unique gesture offered to provide free spectacles to all those prescribed with lenses.
