| Centre for women studies organizes two-day National Seminar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | MAR 30 Centre for women studies organized a two-day National Seminar on “Rights and Role of women in Society-Aiming Quality life” at women college Parade Jammu. K.K. Angurana, Principal secretary, higher Education was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof. Indira Rathore, Former Principal, Prof. Veena Gupta, Principal, GCW Gandhi Nagar, Anuradha Gupta, Deputy director, J&K Handicrafts, Prof. Ram Rajput, UGC consuldative committee and Prof. Kiran Bakshi were also presented on the occasion. Dr. Savitri Sharma, Principal presented the welcome address. Speaking on this occasion. K.K. Angurana appreciated the centre for women studies for organizing such an event. He said that women could play an important role in the society. There is a need to create awareness among the women living in emote areas women today now have equal rights like that of men. He added that women themselves have to actively participated in every sphere of life to make their presence in the society. The paper presentations on various topics were discussed in the seminar.
