With a view to provide better infrastructure to the schools and improve the quality of education , 26 Rashtriya Rifles, under Operation Sadbhavana, provided six computers, each to Government Boys High School and Girls High School, Thatri in Doda district at a function today.
The function was well attended by various civil dignitaries, prominent citizens, local populace and the students
Brigadier Abhimanyu Raut, Commander 9 Sector RR, also inaugurated a computer laboratory.
This good will gesture of the Army has been widely appreciated by the locals. It may be recalled that Army, under its Operation Sadbhavana and military-civic action program, has undertaken massive development works in border and far flung areas of the state that included construction of school buildings, provision of computers, furniture and fixtures to government schools, apart from organizing free medical and veterinary camps.
