| Hakim inspects RTO office, suspends absentees | | | Jammu, March 30
Minister for Transport Hakim Mohammad Yasin today paid surprize visit to the office of Regional Transport Office (RTO) Jammu. During the visit he found four officials including Asstt. Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Mr. Atam Dev absent from the duty. He ordered suspension of three officials and attachment of ARTO with the office of Transport Commissioner Jammu.
Hakim Yasin inspected different sections of the RTOs office and checked personally the cash transaction from the cash counters. He interacted with the people who were depositing their token taxes and Route permit renewal fee and directed the RTO to start additional token tax counter in the office for the convenience of the people.
The Minister directed the RTO to ensure punctuality and regularity of the staff. He said government would not compromise with the lethargic officials while as the dedicated and honest workers would be encouraged. |
