| Governor’s message on Id-i-Milad-ul-Nabi | | | JAMMU, MARCH 31- Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) S K Sinha today described Islam as the religion of peace and said that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) throughout his life worked for equality, brotherhood and tranquility. In a message on Id-i-Milad-ul Nabi, the Governor said that Islam stands for betterment of mankind and stresses on equality among human beings. He said that it shows the path of righteousness, humility and purity of thought. ‘On Id-i-Milad-ul-Nabi we should reinforce such values to which we must rededicate ourselves’, he said, praying for peace and tranquility in State.
