Says powers of local authorities snatched by constituting central committees

Jammu, March 31
While declaring constitution of defence and other committees at central level as eye-wash, the Chairman PDF and Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yasin declared this another humiliation and joke with people of J&K state particularly people of Kashmir who are being taken forgranted and befooled in the garb of committees which are actually escape routes. He said since 1947 till date people have last the count of such committees and it will require another encyclopedia to list these committees for archive value.
Hakeem Yasin said that the committees constituted recently on the demand of PDP which is headed by Defence Minister Antony who has revealed his mind that not a single soldier will be withdrawn from J&K state. Yasin said the demand therefore proved simple hoax and actually aimed at withdrawing power of local DCs, SSPs, DSPs and SHOs, who were competent to made relocation of bankers, troop movements, their evacuation from private houses and hotels to other places to army. He expressed his strong opposition to this withdrawal of powers from local authority and handing over to defence people this he said means even to petty matter of relocation of bankers central committees and defence official are required to be approached. This seems another conspiracy hatched in the garb of raising Kashmir friendly slogans.
He said these committees should not be allowed to prevail the local rights of civil and police officers other wise history will never forgive us for remaining silent spectators. Yasin said that PDF is pioneer of demilitarization slogan but we will project this at appropriate time and not surrender after making behind curtain deals. He said by stealing the slogan of demilitarization, relocation of forces and abolishing AFSPA, one particular party has created difficulties for pro-people parties.
Yasin said that yesterday’s statement of one of the senior defence officer corroborates with the fact that relocation and usual redeployment of troops will be subject to high scrutiny. He said the people of J&K state should not be allowed to suffer more as they have already suffered lot on various accounts. He emphasized for transparent and open debate on all issues pertaining to the state rather than clandestine secret and conspiratory deals.
