3/31/2007 11:37:02 PM

Jammu Mar 31:
Addressing a largely attended one day development workers conference at Beerwah in Budgam district on Saturday, JKPCC Senior Vice President and MLC Abdul Gani Vakil ridiculed the Skulduggery of a particular political party, adding that the said party wants to make hay while the sun shines by carrying forward a dual game plan. “At one hand they pretend to be sympathizers of militants, fan emotional sentiments to befool people and on the other avail every opportunity to stick to power at any cost”.
Vakil said that every eye at present is on peace initiatives, set in place by India and Pakistan, aimed at improving relations and achievers permanent peace in the sub-continent for prosperity of people. “It is not time to raise irrelevant issues that would prove detrimental to the dialogue and peace process”, he said.
Vakil cautioning people of such game plans and said that people of J&K have enough experience of this type of opportunism and diplomacy of deceits.
Citing an example Vakil said that in a city once a rich man, who used to exploit people, lost an important case in the court of law against a group of commons, but he asked his fellows to arrange a celebration function and circulate message that he had won the case, so that it would act as face saving for him. Same is the case with this particular party who asks its workers to burst crackers to give false impression, he added.
The conference which was organized by development forum Beerwah extended whole hearted support to Azad for his sincere peace and development initiatives and his endeavours for removing stigma of second top most corrupt state from the face of J&K, it received in the past.
Among others, the president of the forum, M. H. Rizvi, General Secretary G. Q. Dar and G. H. Lone and others also spoke oat the conference.
