Katra, Feb 14: A team under the title of MECHANIX (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University) SMVDU, led by Varun Dutta, Assistant Professor and 21 engineering students of B Tech (Mechanical) Engineering scheduled to participate in SAE BAJA -2014 Indore from Feb 19-23, was flagged off here today.
Prof Sudhir K Jain, Vice Chancellor and Roop Avtar Kaur, Registrar Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University flagged team MECHANIX-SMVDU.
According to official spokesperson, students of School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU have designed and fabricated an All Terrain Vehicle which will be exhibited at SAE BAJA-2014 held at Indore from Feb -19-23. Faculty coordinators for this event are Dr Ankush Anand & Varun Dutta. Meanwhile Balbir Singh, Director, School of Mechanical Engineering has conveyed his thanks to Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean (Faculty of Engineering) Prof V Verma and workshop staff for their full support and cooperation. |
