| Govt contemplating to engage trained persons to run PHE, PDD schemes: Baig | | Issue of increasing Hajj quota taken up with centre: Peerzada | |
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 04 – Various members raised the issues of public importance during the zero hour in the Legislative Assembly today. The Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Muzaffar Hussain Baig announced an inquiry into the alleged suicide of one student of class 10th namely Silmo Devi D/o Hans Raj R/o Najot (Machedhi) in Bani Block. The Minister also announced Rs. 1 Lakh as ex-gratia to next of the kin of the deceased. He was intervening at a point raised by Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz in Legislative Assembly during Zero Hour. On another point raised by Mr. M. S. Akhoon and others, Deputy Chief Minister said that government is serious to engage all trained candidates for making operational various schemes of PHE and PDD in the state on need based. For this purpose, the necessary advertisements would be published in daily newspapers. Reacting to a point raised by Mr. Ajay Sadhotra, Mr. A. R. Rather and others, the Minister for Hajj and Auqaf, Peerzada Mohammad Sayed said that issue of increasing of Hajj quota for J&K has been taken up with Government of India Which ahs also taken it up with Saudi Government and after replies are received the Government would decide the left out applications without any regional considerations. |
