| S.S. Jain Sabha celebrates birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir | | |
Jammu | March 31 S.S. Jain Sabha today celebrated the 2606th birth anniversary of lord Mahavir in the Jain School premises. Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma, MOS for Health and Medical Education was the chief guest on this occasion. Paying glowing tributes to the lord Mahavir, he said that Lord Mahavir preached the people to follow the path of non violence and love. He said that the Jain community is following the preaching and teachings of Lord Mahavir in true spirit. He assured his full support to the ongoing social projects being run by Jain Community. He also congratulated the people on this auspicious occasion. Jugal Kishore Minister of rural Development on this occasion said that Jain community being minor in status is contributing a lot to the social and economic welfare of the state. He highlighted the preaching’s of the Jain saints who always prorogated the teachings of love and non violence. He assured the Jain community that the state Govt. shall render all help in getting the land allotted for the construction of school and hospital to the general masses. State BJP president said that the preaching of Lord Mahavir live and let live are more relevant for the present. Among others who paid tributes to lord Mahavir include Narinder singh Mayor Municipality Jammu, Kavinder Gupta Ex Mayor, Bansi Lal Gupta corporator JMC, Ashok Jain, Gyat Nand Jain, Rajneesh Jain and kalvati jain. The students of Jain school and members Jain Taruni Mandal and Shraman Sanskrit Manch presented the cultural program a depicting the life and teachings of lord Mahavir. The function was presided over by Raj Kumar Jain President of S.S. Jain sabha. Tawish College Of Education organizes seminar on Enhancing Managerial Skills. Early Times reporter Jammu | March 31 Seminar on enhancing managerial Skills among B.Ed. College Lecturers organized by Tawish College of Education began today at college campus. The seminar aimed at inculcating among women faculty engaged in colleges. Managerial skills i.e. setting directions aims and objectives, planning, progress, organizing available resources i.e. people time, material so as to achieve goals economically and in planned way. The seminar commenced with lightening of the traditional lamp by Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Director, colleges development council University of Jammu accompanied by Prof. Veena Gupta principal Govt. Women College for Women Gandhi Nagar. Dr. Meenakshi Kilam in her inaugural speech appreciated the management and staff of Tawish College of Education for positive growth and development in the college. She also appreciated the implementation of Quality assurances suggestions made to the college from time to time. She also expressed her views on organization and implementation its scope and importance among the B. Ed Lecturers. Pooja Malhotra, Chairperson T.S. Group of Institutions expressed that the notion of teacher being managers is still quite new. To revolutionalize education standards there is need to boost among women faculty member’s managerial skills as a resource, a planner, by being innovative and to be spontaneous and resourceful to change decisions.
