early times report Jammu, Feb 14: Sr. Congress Leader and former legislator Ashok Sharma has strongly pleaded new administrative units in the left over and most deserving areas of Kalakote Constituency and at other places in Rajouri-Poonch districts. At the same time he lauded the decision of J&K Cabinet to amend J&K Panchayati Raj Act in tune with 73rd in Indian Constitution to empower Panchayati Raj institutions in the state. Addressing Jashen-e-Taryath organized by congress party in connection with creation of Tehsil at Taryath, Sharma urged for creation of Tehsils at Moghla, Chingus, Dhalori, Budhal and Devik; CD Blocks at Dharamsal, Tatapani and Kalka Mathani and Niabats at Baljarlian, Tatapani, Kalka Mathani, Khairsu(Treadu) Ranthal, , Argi, Kallar, Potha, Badoon and Dhaleri as being most deserving. He said similarly another district be carved out of border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and the demand of people for setting-up of Sub Divisions, Tehsils, CD Blocks and Niabats in the area be fulfilled in a time bound manner. In his address the senior Congress leader thanked UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad, JKPCC President Prof Saif-Ud- Din Soz, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand. He also invited their kind intervention to get the demands for creation of administrative units left over areas. While lauding the decision of J&K Cabinet to amend J&K Panchayati Raj Act in tune with 73rd in Indian Constitution, Sharma stressed upon incorporating the said constitutional amendment in J&K Constitution to empower Panchayati Raj institutions in the state. Meanwhile he also raised the issues of poor road connectivity, shortage of drinking water, shortage of staff in health and education sector. Sharma also demanded the release of wages of PHE workers pending over 18 months and increase of honorarium for SPO's, RET Teachers and Numberdars and Chowkidars.
