Ten booked under dowry case

Jammu, Feb 14: Following complaint from a married woman against her in-laws, the Police booked ten members of her in-laws’ family for allegedly demanding dowry and harassing the complainant.
Sources said that a woman identified namely as Neelama Kumari of Bishnah lodged complaint with the Women Cell Police Station Canal Road therein alleging that her husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law and other in-laws used to harass her on the one pretext or other and were demanding dowry.
Acting on the compliant a case has been registered under FIR no. 7/14 has been registered and further investigation is on. However, no arrest was made till last reports came in.
