| Warehouse traders observe shutdown against 'assault on trader' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 14: All business establishments of Nehru Market observed shutdown against for assault on a trader yesterday evening and in support of their demand of enhancing security for them. They also protested against inaction of police in arresting unidentified gunmen men who shot at a businessman and escaped with his hand bag from Nehru Market. An eyewitness said that business community including small traders in Nehru Market popularly known as 'ware house' observed a shutdown against the murderous assault against a trader. The protesting traders alleged that crime rate is increasing day by day and the businessmen are feeling insecure due to fear psychosis prevailing among the business community. They further said that security in the locality should be enhanced. For inept some unidentified persons shot at a businessman in 'Nehru Market- Ware House' locality when the trader shuttered down his shop and was leaving for home. The assailants escaped from the spot by snatching hand bag from the injured. Meanwhile concerned police have registered a case under FIR no 35/14 under sections 3/25 Arms Act, 307 and 395 of RPC but yet have failed to have any lead about the assailants who shot at the businessman. Sources said that the condition of the victim was stated to be out of danger when last reports came in.
