| State Fencing Championship concludes | | Ujjwal Gupta bags best fencer award | |

Ujjwal Gupta declared best Fencer in the 7th open J&K State Fencing Championship which was concluded here at Indoor Complex, M.A. Stadium today.
In the prize distributed ceremony, Brig Mohan Sharma Ex-MLC was the chief guest and distributed the winning trophies among the participants participating in the championship. Royal Fencing Club in men’s section bagged the overall champion trophy whereas Jammu District clinched the trophy in women’s section. In the U-14 girl’s category, Reasi District clinched the trophy and in boys Royal Fencing Club clinched the overall trophy. Ujjwal Gupta declared as the best fencer of the championship.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ashutosh Sharma, M.J. Sharma Vijay Sharma, sports officers and sports personalities.
The results of Today’s matches are:
In Senior Sabre Men team: The gold medal was won by Royal Fencing Club, Jammu and players were Varun, Manminder Paul Singh, Ujjwal and Rohit. The Silver medal was bagged by Jammu District having players Ankush, Ranchan, Charanjeet Singh and naresh Singh. Bronze medals clinched by Rahul Dev, Jagvir, Vikas and Sanjay of Kathua District and Zorawar Fencing Club, Reasi having players Satish, Summit, Balbir and Arun Dev.
In Senior Sabre Girls Team: Jammu District bagged the Gold medal and players were Aankita, Sheriya, Aruna and Chandan. Silver medal clinched by Reasi District having players Amita, Seema, Shavali and Shweta. The bronze medal was won by Kathua District having players Manikrishika, Aradhana Sharma, Aradhana and Pooja.
In Boys U-14 Foil Team: Gold medal was won by Jammu District and players were Gurusharan, Saujanya, Parath and Dileep. Silver clinched by Royal Fencing Club having players Dushyant, Valentine, Sanchit and Jawed. The bronze medal was bagged by Udhampur District and players were Aman Dev, Abinav, Vikram and Shashwat and Kahtua District having players Sahil, Ashwani, Akash and Nardish.
In senior men Foil Team: Gold medal went to Royal Fencing Club, Jammu and players were Bisham Singh, Ajay Singh, Ujjwal Gupta and Rohit Sagotra. Silver medal was won by Jammu District having players Naresh Singh, Ankush Gupta, Ranchan and Sunny. The bronze medals went to Ramsar Club, Kathua and players were Dheeraj Sharma, Neeraj Kumar, Dinesh and Rakesh Sharma and Reasi District having players Rajan Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Kuldeep and Subash.
Men’s Senior Individua Sabre: the gold medal was won by Ujjwal Gupta of Royal Fencing Club whereas Silver medal clinched by Manminder Paul Singh of same club. The bronze medals bagged by Ajay of Reasi District and Vikas from Kathua District.
Men’s Senior Foil Individual: Gold medal also clinched by Ujjwal Gupta of Royal Fencing Club and Silver medal went to Ranchal of Jammu District. The bronze medals clinched by Ajay of Royal Fencing Club and Ankush from Jammu District.
