Jammu, Feb 24: All J&K Central Paramilitary Forces Retired (AJKCPF-R) Personnel in a meeting held at Press Club Jammu in which members deliberated on various pending demands of the retired paramilitary forces. Speaking on the occasion General Secretary of the Association Darshan Kumar highlighted the demands of CPMFs and problems being faced by the retirees. He reiterated the decade's old genuine pending demands Highlighting issues including revision of pension pre-retirees and one rank one pension, he said It is well known by the whole country that GOI has declared one rank one pension to the pensioners retired from the Ministry of Defence, but nothing has been said for miserable lots retired from Central Para Military Forces. "This has made 6 lacs retired personnel and 25 lacs their dependents at present the retired personnel and their dependents are voicing severely, strongly and determined to oppose and boycott the local member parliament, he said. He also said that senior congress leader namely Congress MPs Lal Singh , Madan Lai and Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and State Congress president Saif-Ud- Din-Soz nothing has said to grant one rank one pension to ex-CPMF personnel. He said Vice president AICC Rahul Gandhi too has not spared time for the CPMF retiree for the betterments. He also said that Union Home Affair Minister S K Shinde, Finance Minister P Chitambram too have totally ignored retired personnel of BSF, CRPF, ITBP SSB and NSG that cannot suit to aspiration of a soldier. Other issues raised in this meeting included Pension of widows; Medical allowance and etc. |
