Rajouri, Feb 24: More than 50 Muslim leaders and activists of Congress and hailing from a Muslim dominated area of Manyalgali (Thanamndi) have joined the BJP in the presence of Vibodh Gupta , State vice president to extend their support to Narinder Modi. While welcoming these activists said that Muslims have full faith in the policies of BJP and were benefited i all the aspects of life during the tenure of NDA governemnt lead by Atal Bihari Bajpai. Vibodh Gupta alleged that Central and State governments have failed in term of four-lanning of Jammu-Poonch National Highway, Jammu-Poonch Railways Project, infrastructure improvement, Medical College and providing basic amenities including drinking water, sanitation facilities, electricity etc. On the other hand, highlighting the achievements of Gujarat Chief Minister Narender Modi for his development model, Gupta said that a 'Modi wave' is already set in motion throughout the J&K state and people from Muslim community are now openly coming out and vowed to support Narender Modi to become PM of India. Mandal Pardhan Zahid Ahmed also addressed the gathering. He said that the people want a strong ruler like Narender Modi and the time has come that Muslim should support BJP in coming elections. "Unemployment is the major issue of this area and I appealed State Vice President to highlight this issue at the higher organisational level, so that people get relief from this growing problem", Zahid added Those who joined BJP were, Abdul Aziz Malik, Mohd. Taj, Munshi Khan, Mohd. Shakoor, Alam Khan, Jahangir Khan and others. |
