Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 24: The NSS unit of Dogra College of Education, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Samba organized 7 days camp at village Chak Jaralan, in which various activities including Socio-economic surveys, cleanliness drive, awareness rally, Yoga exercises, literacy drive, plantation drive, free Medical dental camp was organized. The valedictory function was organized on 24th of March, 2014 at Govt. High School, village Chak Jaralan. Shefali Sharma, Vice Principal Dogra College of Education highlighted the role of NSS in developing student's personality through community service. Camp Report was presented by Rajni Manhas Programme Officer, NSS Unit of Dogra College of Education. Ghambir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee Dogra Educational Trust, member zonal railway users consultative committee was the chief guest on the occasion. He stressed that it should be the main objective of the NSS volunteers to demonstrate this motto in their day to day activities of the camp. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Prof. B D Damral, Director cum Principal Dogra College of Education, Sh. Jatinder Singh Jaral, Sarpanch and Sh. Rattan Lal Sharma, Lambardar of the village, Principal, Staff Members and students of Govt. High School and Villagers of Chak Jaralan. Prizes and Momentoes were also distributed among the students of Govt. High School and also among the volunteers of the College. The award for the best services during the camp was bagged by Ms. Roshi Dabgotra. |
