| PDP MLA inaugurates Higher Secondary at Narabal | | | Srinagar , Apr 3 PDP leader and MLA Ghulam Hassan Mir inaugurated the newly upgraded Higher Secondary School , Narbal Beerwah in District Budgam today. He was accompanied by MLA Beerwah Sarfaraz Khan, Syed Basharat Bukhari MLC and senior leaders Nazir Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Qadir Pardesi and Chief Education Officer, Budgam Ahmadullah Owisee. Mir stressed upon the education authorities to streamline the educational system as it is the main thrust area of the coalition government. He said that during last few years the education centre has suffered badly owing to the political turmoil in the State but the present coalition government is giving top priority and the opening of new colleges and up-gradation of schools is a step towards providing quality education and attaining hundred percent literacy rate in the State. He said that according to the records, at present there are 350 posts of teachers and eight posts of ZEO's out of twelve lying vacant in the Budgam district which is adversely affecting the educational process. He demanded that these vacant posts be filled at the earliest. Local MLA, Sarfaraz Khan thanked the coalition government for sanctioning the Higher Secondary at Narbal which was a long pending demand of the area. He exhorted upon the students to work hard for achieving excellence as the future of the state belongs to them.
