The four day International Mathematics Conference, organized by Department of Mathematics Jammu University today came to an end at a simple but impressive valedictory function organized here today.
Minister for Health and Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma was the Chief Guest at the Valedictory function. Reputed Mathematics Professors from across the Country besides JU authorities and Teaching staff and students were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma said four day conference which witnessed long sessions, discussions, workshops and Seminars, has greatly helped the students and teaching staff to exchange ideas with people associated with this thought provoking subject. He said it is a matter of great pride for the people of Jammu that such events involving persons of international repute are being held in Jammu University.
Appreciating the University authorities, Mr. Sharma said that it is a matter of great pride for the university to have Mathematicians from across the Globe sharing their ideas with ‘our teachers and students’. He said owing to eventful activities and great research ventures Jammu University has already emerged as one among the reputed Universities of the world.
He congratulated the students and, staff for having organized such a great event and hoped that they would continue to work with same spirit.
Minister also distributed prizes among the students who excelled in the completions and seminars held during the conference.
