| Government committed to carry forward peace, development process: Peerzada | | | Srinagar, Apr 3 Saying that people of Jammu and Kashmir were hurt due to recent violent incidents of innocent killings at Rajouri and Baramulla, JKPCC President and Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed asked Pakistan to fulfill their commitment to curb violence in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a mammoth public gathering at Wakura organized to celebrate creation of new district of Ganderbal, he said that Government led by Mr. Azad is committed to carry forward the ongoing peace process to its logical conclusion still sporadic terrorist acts continue in the state. He said UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh are the pioneers in launching the peace process spreading on a big canvas for the prosperity and development of the Jammu and Kashmir State. Peerzada said “our policy is crystal clear about the Kashmir and we have never deviated from lofty principles. We always accorded priority to state’s welfare”. He said that people are now aware about tactics of hollow sloganeering for political purpose. |
