| DGP Prisons inaugurates training programme | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 6: A 3-days training programme "Human Rights and Prison Management" sponsored by Bureau of Police Research and Department , MHA , Govt. of India and organized by the J&K Prisons Department was inaugurated today by P.L. Gupta , Director General of Prisons. The Training programme was organized with an aim of developing a common understanding among the participants related to Human Rights and Rights of prisoners. The Resource Persons for the 3 days course shall include Senior Police Officers ,eminent Social Activists and faculty from the University of Jammu who will deliver lecture on important topics related to Human Right Issues in Reformation & Rehabilitation of Prisoners, Role of Judiciary in Reformation & Rehabilitation of prisoners, Special categories of prisoners and their needs and violence against women - Human and health rights of prisoners and Prison Management.
Participants from different states and prison officers from the state are attending the training programme. |
