| Three injured in road mishap, minor dies after fall from tree | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 6: Three women were injured when a passenger bus become out of control of the driver on a speed breaker near Thandikasi village on Jammu-Poonch highway today. Meanwhile a ten years old girl reportedly died after falling from a tree in Manjakote Police source said that the bus bearing regd no: JK02W-697 while on its way to Rajouri from Mendher in Poonch district met with accident.
According to an eyewitness, when the bus reached near Himalyan Degree College at Thandikasi , the driver who was in partially intoxicated condition failed to control the bus and it passed speed breaker with speed resulting in big hop to the bus in air in which three women passengers received injuries when they hit the roof of the bus. "Driver however stopped the bus after some distance and fled from the spot apprehending trouble, reports said adding, "police seized the bus and shifted all the injured to District Hospital. The injured have been identified as Swarna Devi ,Suraj Bala and Anshu Sharma all resident of Kotdhara (Rajouri).
Meanwhile a ten years old girl reportedly died after falling from a tree in Manjakote while she cutting leaves for the live stock. Police said that Amrit Begum d/o Mohd Sarvar resident of Kalali under the jurisdiction of police station Manjakot was cutting leaves on a tree and had an accidental fall from the tree at about 4 pm. After legal formalities police handed over the body of the girl to the family members for her last rites. |
