| JCC bank chairman felicitated | | |

Senior officers of the Jammu Central Cooperative (JCC) Bank today felicitated M.S. Tariq, Chairman of the Bank for ensuring that government honour a default by JAKFED.
The Finance Department has intimated the Chairman regarding one time settlement of default loan of JAKFED amounting to Rs. 80 crores. The loan will be settled by the state government by payment of Rs. 4.00 crores per year over a period of 20 years. This issue was lingering on for the last more than 15 years and due to this default, the bank was suffering constant losses.
Speaking on the occasion, officials of the Bank, S.K. Mehta, Arun Bakshi and Chhatter Singh, lauded the efforts made by the Chairman for retrieving this amount from the state government, which otherwise could not have been made possible without the sincere efforts of the Chairman.
Tariq while speaking on the occasion stated that he has a long association with this bank as he earlier remained Chairman of the bank in the year 1984. He hoped that the employees shall also work hard and take this bank to new heights in years to come.
