| SFC employees demands stern action against corrupt officers | | |
JAMMU | APR 3 A meeting of J&K State Forest Corporation (SFC) employees union Jammu was held today in order to chalk out further programme of the union. In the meeting, the employees showed their concern on the financial position of the corporation, and appealed to the Chief Minister and forest minister for taking stern action against the officers/officials involved in missing of 51 trucks loaded with Deodar timber worth crores of rupees from Buniyar Depot of the State Forest Corporation at Srinagar. The members urged upon the Government to take stern action against the officers/officials involved in making excess payment of lakhs of rupees to the contractors of compartment 40-Neeru and 51-54 Bhalessa of Bhaderwah Division. The union members appealed to the State Government for deputing qualified and experienced senior accounts officers from Finance department to work as Deputy Financial Advisor and Divisional manager (Finance/Audit) in SFC in view of dearth of qualified experienced and trained accounts personnel in SFC.
