HC for speedy disposal of Motor Accident claims

JAMMU, APRIL 03
In the larger public interest , the Jammu and Kashmir State High Court, today directed all the Chief Judicial Magistrates and Judicial Magistrates, to retain copies of registration of certificates, Driving Licenses and Insurance Certificates of the vehicles involved in accident cases.
While releasing the vehicles and said documents to concerned, one set of the copies of released documents shall also be forwarded to concerned Presiding Officer, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal for record and reference, so that the Motor Accidents claims do not get delayed due to non-availability of necessary documents/ particulars of the vehicles, their owners and drivers, driving the vehicles at the time of accident, the HC ordered.
