| 4 injured in grenade blast | | | Srinagar, Apr 3 At least four pedestrians were injured when a grenade lobbed by unidentified militants missed the target and exploded on the road at Nad Kadal in down town area, here today.
Eye witnesses told News Agency of Kashmir that the grenade was targeted at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle at busy Nad Kadal area which missed the target and exploded on the road injuring four pedestrians seriously. The injured were immediately shifted to hospital.
The grenade, according to the police, was tossed from a near by lane creating panic in the entire area. The police launched a man hunt to nab the culprits, however no arrests were made till the last reports came in.
Meanwhile, a major tragedy was averted at Watlab Bandipora, today, when a patrolling party of 15-RR detected an IED fitted in a transistor. The IED was later diffused safely by the troops. Police has registered a case in this regard and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
