| Police organizes seminar on 'communal harmony and national integration' | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Mar 14: Police today organised a 'communal harmony cum integration' meet at Shivalik College of Education, Udhampur in which students from twenty schools/colleges of Udhampur participated in the seminar The students enthusiastically participated in the seminar "communal harmony and national integration" and spoke on this occasion. The chief guest Garib Dass, IPS Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range in his keynote address highlighted the importance of communal harmony in the peace, progress and integration of a nation. He stated that these are essential ingredients of peaceful living in the society and for the growth and stability of nation. He lauded the role of general public of Udhampur in maintenance of law and order communal harmony in Udhampur and requested all the participants especially students to maintain communal harmony in all walks of their lives. DIG cautioned gathering to beware of misdeeds of some anti-social elements and to refrain from the adverse rumours spread by these anti-social elements A panel of the judges adjudged Usman of Happy Model as First, Chetna and Mamta of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School jointly as second and Shruti of GGHSS Udhampur as third respectively. Vikram Gulati, Chairman Shivalik College of Education, Udhampur, Adv Sawtantar Kotwal, keynote speaker, Sanjay Sharma from District Youth Services and Sports Udhampur, Khalil Poswal, Addl. SP Udhampur, Gourav Mahajan, Dy.SP Hqrs. and prominent citizens of Udhampur were also present in this function. |
