| CJM denies bail to Asstistant Supdtt | | 12th Class Paper Leak Scam | | Jammu, Mar 14: Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu SC Katal rejected the bail application of Raman Kumar s/o Om parkash r/o RS Pura Assistant Supt who was allegedly involved in 12thclass Paper Leakage Scam.
According to the police case, the applicant was appointed as Assistant Superintendent for conducting the exmainat6ion of 12th calss examination center 264 Govt Girls Higher Secondary School RS Pura. The applicant in connivance with others who are also Govt Ofificals have committed the criminal breach of trust as public servant and have leaked the physics paper of Higher secondary Part-II before the scheduled date and few solved answer sheet have been recovered before one day prior to the date examination.
CJM Jammu SC Katal after hearing CPO Sanjay Kohli who opposed the bail application on the ground that the investigation is in progress and it is also expected that the applicant will make more disclosure regarding involvement of gang/beneficiaries who have connived in the commission of offence and have played with the sentiments of the student and there is strong resentment among students. CJM after gone through the arguments of both the sides observed that the accused has set an example that fence has eaten grass and he has adopted dangerous modus-opreandi to collect the money and the act has potential to damage the fabric of society particularly the aged act of the accused has created unrest amongst student community who are future of this country. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. (JNF) |
