| Misappropriations alleged in MGNREGA | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Mar 14: An alleged bungling worth lakhs has surfaced in the MG NREGA, a centrally sponsored scheme, in panchayat Nullaha at villages Makool, Barnada , Naghoti in Sunderbani and locals have demanded probe in the said financial bungling.
Alleging the Gramsewak of the panchayat has fixed commission of twenty percent for every work which gave a dent to the public exchequer in general and sub standard work in particular. locals from above mentioned villages locals demanded a 'probe' by vigilance organization in the said episode to book the guilty.
Locals however alleged that despite repeated requests to the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) to take action against corrupt elements but the things remained to zero which also raises finger of suspicion to concerned authorities.
Agitated villagers said that corruption worth lakhs has been taking place and all this requires due government attention besides ordering a probe to bust unholy nexus of corrupt elements. |
