Jammu, Mar 14: Expressing concerns over the concern over the neglect of the poor of unreserved categories, Arakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu (AVMJ) reiterated demand for the total abolition of existing undemocratic reservation and special support measurers (SSM) for the needy and deserving irrespective of caste, religion and region. Members in a meeting decided to hold a meeting on March 26 against caste based reservation at Akhnoor. Manch appealed the people of the country as well as J&K State to give a strong clear message to all political parties by raising voice against reservation and support AVMJ for its honest, sincere struggle for the welfare of the poor people irrespective of their caste , religion and region. Talking to the media persons here Ram Pal Seth President of Arakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu (AVMJ) voiced deep concern over the neglect of the poor of unreserved categories. Seth also said 13 member central working committee had been constituted which included Yash Paul Sharma, Raj Kumar Banathia, Sat Pal Sharma, Bhushan Pargal, Kewal Sharma, Tara Singh, Som Nath, Ravi Sawhney, K K Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Slathia, Ashok Sharma , V K Sharma, Suraj Singh, Vishal Paul Gupta, Kamla Sharma. He also informed that AVMJ has decided to hold a meeting at Akhnoor on 26th March 2014against caste based reservation. Speakers accused ruling parties of playing divisive politics in the name of secularism and appealed people to throw them out of power and shun vote bank politics forever. They demanded abrogation of Rule 16 of J&K regarding selection process which is illegal and unconstitutional. |
