| Crop cut training program organized | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 14 : One day Crop cut training program was organized for crop yield estimation per hectare by the District Revenue Department to impart the training among the employees of revenue and Agriculture Department at Kathua here today. The programme was headed by M.K Raina and FC Revenue Ajay were present as expertise to aware the present employees of both revenue and agriculture department. While speaking about the importance of collection and maintenance of Agricultural Statistics M.K Raina from National Sample Survey Organization and FC Ajay said National Sample Survey Organization (NSSO) has been providing technical guidance to the States and Union territories for organizing and conducting Crop Estimation Surveys for estimating yield of principal crops per hectare. They said that the data for average production of principal crops including oil seeds and Potatoes are used for the formulation of National Agriculture Policies. Tehsildar Jatinder Mishra also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the motive of the Crop Cut Training Program and said the Crop Cut is most important because it plays the key role for the formulation of National Agriculture Policy. He told that programme was attended by the agriculture staff and revenue employees and imparted the know- how regarding the crop cut to collect the average production per hectare. |
