| Braving harsh weather 115 candidates complete JKEDI training | | | Early Times Report
PAMPORE, Mar 14: A fresh batch of over 115 aspiring entrepreneurs passed out from Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Friday, despite snow, chill and waterlogged streets during the last days of their three-week training programme. There were 23 females who made it to the training classes despite harsh weather conditions, signifying how the concept of starting new businesses is fast picking up among women in the state. The 115 candidates were trained at the institute's Pampore campus. The unemployed youth, who are all set to start their own business ventures now, were exposed to a comprehensive training course, Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) to equip them with tools they need to start their profitable business. The three-week EDP was aimed at providing lessons on skill development, performance improvement as well as business cum sector specific trainings, leadership and self-development training to the aspiring entrepreneurs. They are exposed to a real-life business scenario through simulations. They also had interactions with successful entrepreneurs and technical experts from various fields. |
