| Dr Jatinder Singh holds series of road shows in Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 14 : Parliamentary candidate of Bhartiya Janta Party for Jammu-Poonch constituency Dr. Jatinder Singh today addressed series of road shows in different villages of Kathua including Kharote, Karduh, Jandhor, Kote, Hatli and Chhanni up to the last Panchayat of Keeriyan Gandyal on J&K-Punjab border. Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that because of its easy approachability and close proximity to Punjab, Kathua should have attracted much more industrial growth and investment which he said is lacking because of obstructionist policies of the government as well as the Article 370. Singh said, while the people were yearning for a change and the country was ready for it, it is now for the political class to rise up to this popular expectation. He said Narendra Modi's anointment had inspired a new hope across the country but unfortunately, by the time the Congress led UPA quits the government in New Delhi, things would have gone from bad to worse. Dr Jitendra Singh alleged that instead of sympathetically addressing the problems of border area people, the Congress supported NC- led government was pressing for partial revocation of AFSPA from certain districts including Kathua in order to appease the separatist constituency. |
