Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 15: Intensifying his poll campaign on the second day of his visit to Poonch district, Bharitiya Janta Party (BJP) MP candidate for Jammu-Poonch constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma, bemoaned the pathetic situation in which border migrants and refugees are living there.
He said "They are the most neglected lot", he said and added that the people of Surankote, Draba, Thana Mandi, Rajal, Bagnoti, Lamberi, Siot, Bakhar, Bal and Thanda Pani are virtually living in a dark age as the present Congress-NC coalition government like the previous dispensations, have done nothing to create the required infrastructure in the entire Poonch-Rajouri border belt so that the people of this area get power supply.
There are villages and villages which do not get power supply for days together, he said, adding that the story of healthcare and educational facilities and potable water is no different, which constitutes a sad reflection on the working of the government.
Jugal Kishore Sharma pooh-poohed the claim of the Congress that the coalition government has created many new tehsils, niyabats, sub-divisions and community development blocks to the administration to the doorsteps of the people and said that truth is that the government has only earmarked Rs. 5 crores for the purpose of despite the fact that the government requires about Rs. 1500 crores and more than 1000 employees to make the proposed new administrative unit functional. "The Congress-NC coalition is simply hoodwinking and misleading the people by preaching false hood," he said.
Addressing corner meetings Sharma underscore the significance of the scheduled general election and urged the people to vote for the BJP and strengthen the hands of the party PM candidate Narendra Modi. He said vote for BJP will be a vote for political stability, economic prosperity, infrastructure development, National security, social and political regeneration of the people of the country.
He said now is the time to end the misrule of the congress for all the times to come and decimate fake secular and anti-people parties like the NC and the PDP.
"Congress and NC, like other fake secular and divisive organizations, have already caused an immense damage to the country and its socio-religious and political fabric", he said adding that the nation cannot afford further damage to the polity.
Jugal Kishore Sharma demanded that the border migrants and refugees be given a special treatment, the Rajouri-Poonch belt be linked with the rest of the country by railed air links and necessary steps be taken to forthwith to counter Pakistan propaganda and ensure proper power supply to the district.
