Panic grips in Nagrota after movement of suspects reported

Jammu, Mar 15: Panic triggered the city outskirts following reports of movement of some suspected persons along the forest area at Nagrota.
Police sources said following reports of some suspected persons moving in the forest area in Kot Jagir of Nagrota of Jammu, police alongwith Army and paramilitary forces launched a search operation in the area.
"Three unidentified persons with small rucksack (Pithoos) were seen moving towards the forest area instead of main road making locals more suspicious about their movement, police sources said while quoting locals who informed the police.
Sources said that locals reported the matter to nearby police station and meanwhile checking on different nakas in and around the Jammu city was intensified.
Confirming the searches in outskirts of Jammu city near Nagrota, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Atul Goel said that though no suspect was traced but we don't want to take any risk so we have launched the search operations. He added that these (searches) somehow have restored confidence within locals.
Recently on March 2, similar searches were launched in Nagorta and Panjthirthi locality along circular road by the police and other security agencies following some reports about movement of suspects towards the River Tawi area. Though this search also turned a futile but search operations are being reported now an d then since twin attacks in (Hiranagar - Samba) on Sept 26last year claiming the lives of 10 persons including a Lieutenant Colonel, three army jawans and four police cops.
