| Bodies of two brothers carried on stretchers, snow wasn't cleared | | Govt claims exposed | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Mar 15: Three young poor men namely Fayaz Ahmad Najar , Nisar Ahmad Najar (both real brothers) from Watkaloo a far flung village in Charar-e-Sharief tehsil of Budgam and Jamsheed Ahmad Dar from Kultreh Chadoora also in Budgam district had never thought that they would die while they were in a deep sleep in an under construction house at posh Friend's colony Humhama near Srinagar airport. The road leading to Watkaloo village wasn't cleared of snow and the villagers had the bodies on stretchers and had to walk more than 3 kms from Loolipora village on Friday evening. The incident has exposed the tall claims of the government. Three labourers at Friend's Colony Humhama who died during the intervening night of 13th and14th March due to inhalation of Carbon Monoxide gas emitted from a charcoal heater in an under construction house where these persons were working as carpenters from the last more than two months. " It is a matter of shame for the government that the road leading to Watkaloo from Loolipora Chadoora was not cleared of snow and the villagers had to carry the bodies on the stretchers for more than three kms and on the other hand Taj Mohiudeen state cabinet Minister claims that J&K is much developed than USA while tackling with the situation which arose due to recent snow fall," said Shahnawaz Sultan a resident of Chadoora. Pertinent to mention that most of the roads in Budgam district haven't been thrown open till date and there is severe crises of ration in these villages as the CAPD vehicles loaded with ration are not able to reach to these places. As per sources the villages such as Batawodder , Jabbad, Kachwari, Brinjan in Budgam are still covered with snow. |
