| Burglars strike in high security zone | | Decamp with goods worth Rs 4 lakh | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Mar 16: Burglars once again struck in the high security zone in the vicinity of DC colony on the intervening night of March 15 and 16 and decamped with electronic goods worth more than Rs 4 lakh. Reliable sources said that burglars broke the locks of a Dental Clinic and Traveling agency both situated at the first floor and escaped with lap tops, Photostat machin , video camera and cash worth Rs 32000.
Pertinent to mention that the area is highly protected as the offices and residents of DIG, SSP and deputy commissioners are situated just a stone throw away from these shops and at a distance of about 10 meters, a police post is situated at the gate of BSNL Telephone Exchange.
Burglars not less than 6 first broke the locks of the shutters and from S-K traveling agency they collected one Lap Top, computer system, Canon Photostat machine and music system.
From Manzoor Dental clinic the burglars collected one Sony Lap Top, 3 KV voltage stabilizer, Sony video camera and Rs 30000 cash.
After collecting all the items the burglars who reportedly came in a vehicle escaped from the spot.Police have registered a case under sections380/457 RPC (FIR116/14) and had during preliminary investigation had picked finger prints from the shops.
Pertinent to mention that about a month back the burglars had struck in the same area and from adjoining Gupta Daily Needs shop had decamped with items worth about Rs1.50 lakh included 35 mobile phones and a Lap Top and the burglary is yet to be solved. |
