SRINAGAR, Mar16: Stating that tall claims of the present government has completely got exposed after the recent snowfall Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expressed concern over the deteriorated state of affairs in Kashmir particularly in the far-flung areas. After visiting most of the areas of Kokernag and Shangus constituency, PDP senior leader and MLA Shangus Peerzada Mansoor Hussain in a statement said that even a week after the fresh snowfall, most of the areas in Kokernag and Shangus are still cutoff and the people of these areas are facing huge hardship due to the complete failure of the government. He said that the government claims about restoration of essential supplies like road connectivity, power and water supplies within 24 hours has totally proved to be hollow and false. Mansoor said though the snow is not something new to Kashmir, but the NC-led government has always made people suffer badly, on account of its inefficiency and insensitivity, over the last five years. He said the people are presently suffering throughout the Valley particularly hilly areas like Chattergul, Thimran, Chagilpora, Renipora, Teilwani, Shangus, Soafshali, Bochu, Akingam, Hardpora Badoora, Nagam etc., on various fronts particularly power, water and other essential commodities and the government is nowhere seen to tackle the situation. |
