Manmohan meets Aziz
4/5/2007 12:25:31 AM

NEW DELHI, APR 4
Prie Minister Manmohan Singh today had a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Shaukat Aziz during which bilateral issues, including Kashmir and terrorism, are understood to have figured.
The two leaders, while reviewing the progress of the ongoing peace process, are also believed to have discussed Siachen and Sir Creek. The talks took place at the Prime Minister's Race Course residence.
Ahead of his parleys with Singh, Aziz had said that the objective of peace and prosperity in South Asia cannot be realised without a durable solution to the Kashmir issue.
Pakistan has been insisting that time has come to resolve the Kashmir issue in line with the "aspirations" of the Kashmiri people to ensure lasting peace in the subcontinent.
The Pakistan Premier is here to attend the two-day 14th SAARC Summit which began yesterday.
