KUPWARA, Mar 30: The incessant rains that have lashed Kashmir valley over the past one week or so have inundated dozens of areas in this frontier district of North Kashmir. The flood threat is looming large with lives of people at stake. At least 23 families of Shah Mohallah Muqam, Lolab are facing flood threat due to breach in a local irrigation water reservoir. Due to heavy rains a breach has come up in the locality and following this many localities have got submerged. According to locals, due to heavy rains since past many days the protection wall of irrigation water reservoir developed crack on one side. They said the cracks led to breach subsequently submerging the nearby Shah Mohalla. "The reservoir which is spread over 65 Acres of land developed crack yesterday and the water has now reached to our houses which pose threat to us. Our courtyards, roads and lawns are inundated.
