| Road connectivity facility to all villages by 2009: Charak | | | Jammu, Apr 5 Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak has said that government is vigorously pursuing its agenda to uplift the socio-economic condition of the people particularly living in rural and backward areas. Minister was speaking at a public meeting at Swankha-Vijaypur here yesterday. Mr. Charak said that due to on behest efforts of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad various development projects have been taken up under double and triple shifts working system. He said creation of 8 new districts is a major mile stone of to accelerate pace of development in all nooks and corners of the state. He thanked Chief Minister for giving district status to Samba for catapulting development in the Samba and adjacent areas. Mr. Charak said government has launched road connectivity, health care and creation of education infrastructure programme at village, block, tehsil, district, divisional levels to give boost to expansion and consolidation of education sector. Assuring the people that road leading to Baba Sid Gourian would be taken in hand and completed before June 2007 he said that all the un-connected roads would be connected by 2009 under Bharat Nirman Programme launched in the state. Minister was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Samba Mr. B. S. Jamwal, Ex-MLA Mr. Gouri Shanker besides other officers.
