A meeting of Select Committee constituted by Speaker on the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (55th Amendment) Bill 2006, held here today under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Finance, Law and parliamentary Affairs Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz.
The Committee held threadbare discussion on various aspects relating to the amendment sought by Mr. Harsh Dev Singh in the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The Members putforth their view points on the subject.
Those present in the meeting included MLAs Mr. Harsh Dev Singh, Mrs. Khem Lata Wakhloo, Mr. Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Mr. Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Mr. Sharief-ud-Din Shariq, Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Mr. Mohammad Aslam Khan, Mr. Mohammad Sayed Akhoon, Additional Secretary Assembly Mr. G. N. Mir and senior Officers of Law Department.
