Jammu, Apr 7: Hailing the party's election manifesto, which was released on Monday by the national leadership in New Delhi, BJP Candidate from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency & State President Jugal Kishore Sharma today asserted that when Congress is contesting election on divisive and emotive issues, the BJP is reaching to people across the nation with a positive agenda comprising three main components- national integration, governance and development. The BJP is seeking people's mandate holding out categorical commitment that the party, which is destined to be at the helm of affairs in Delhi after May 16, that the Narendra Modi led NDA government would adopt policies which will not only cater to the needs of all sections of the society, The BJP candidate said while addressing a series of election rallies at Bhour Camp, Chatha, Sai, Ratno Chak and Kaluchak in Nagrota, R.S. Pura, Suchetgarh and Samba assembly constituencies. He said, "The BJP shall ensure all round development but will also secure the country's borders, end militancy and achieve for the country a status it rightfully deserves in the self-respecting sovereign nations." Reiterating party's stand on Article 370, he said, "The BJP will generate a positive debate on Article 370 to educate public opinion and find if this Article has benefitted the people of the state or harmed them. "The BJP has no doubt, Jugal Kishore said, "this Article has denied the SCs, STs, OBCs, minorities, refugees from West Pakistan and POJK their legitimate general political and economic rights and deprived the daughters of the state of their right to enjoy equal status with the male state subjects." The BJP believes that Article 370 has also hampered the process of integration of the state with India and promoted communal and separatist politics in the Kashmir valley, besides creating a doubt in the minds of International community that Jammu & Kashmir is not an integral part of India.Sharma thanked the national leadership for its special focus on the problems of the refugees of all varieties inhabiting different parts of Jammu province, plight of internal displaced Kashmiri Hindus and on Jammu and Kashmir as a whole. He said the resolve of the BJP to work for Uniform Civil Code and construction of Ram temple at Ayodhaya has electrified the whole election scene and further inspired the people to support the BJP. He asserted that the BJP will win a minimum of three seats from Jammu and Kashmir including Jammu-Poonch, Kathua-Udhampur and Ladakh.Taking dig upon Congress and NC leadership, he said, "instead of focusing on issues of governance, development and the problems being faced by the people, the coalition regime has been only carrying on a vilification campaign against the BJP in general and its PM candidate Narendra Modi in particular. He said, "The more the Congress and NC leadership attacks the BJP, the more and more people would swing behind Narendra Modi, who has been urging the nation to give him more than three hundred seats in the Lok Sabha so that a strong and stable government is formed at the centre.
