| Defence Pension Adalat concluded in Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTR JAMMU | AUGUST 4 In an attempt to solve the problem of ex-servicemen of Jammu and Kashmir, a two day Defence Adalat got underway yesterday and concluded today. The Adalat was inaugurated by Lieutenant General, AS Jamwal, Adjutant General. The inaugural ceremony was attended by GoC Tiger Division, Nita Kapoor, PCDA Western Command, and DK Sharma CDA (P) Meerut and by over 500 ex-servicemen. The Adjutant General in his inaugural address in formed the retired soldiers that to redress the problems faced by retired fraternity living in the militancy prone areas, it was decided to hold Pension Adalat at Jammu. He assured the house that it is an sincere endeavor to ensure that all the pension related grievances/problems of ex-servicemen are addressed resolved as early as possible. The Pension Adalat provide a convenient forum to all ex-servicemen of the border state, wherein our retired breathern from far flung and remote areas could also attend the Pension Adalat to sort out their pension related problems. He also impressed upon the gathering to take maximum benefit out of this unique and excellent forum to exercise their right to mitigate their genuine grievances. The Pension Adalat, one of its kind, held in Jammu was received very well by the old ad aged ex-servicemen of Jammu & Kashmir.
